Recreational Badminton Tournament

Date: March 20th, 2010.

Time: 9:30AM - 6:00PM

Each event is only held if there are sufficient entries.

• Men′s Doubles
• Women′s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

[RULES]

• 21 rally point system
• Teams play a best out of 3 games, in at least 2 different matches
• Matches will be played ahead of schedule if courts become available earlier
• Players must be available to play 30 minutes before their scheduled match time, 15 minutes default rule is enforced
• Dark-soled or marking shoes are not allowed on the courts
• One practice and one game shuttle per match (Yonex Mavis 300 Nylon), extra shuttles can be purchased
• Final decisions are made at the event organizer′s discretion

• Trophies (and possibly other prizes) for top 2 or 3 winners
• Trophies (and possibly other prizes) for top 2 consolation winners

Please submit forms and payments to Richmond Pro Badminton Centre (address listed above) by Friday March 12, 2010. The first 70 entries will receive a custom-designed CSA 2010 badminton tournament t-shirt!

The application fees are listed below as well as on the application form. CSA members receive a $5.00 discount. The fee is non-refundable.

This event is intended for recreational immediate to advanced level players. Applicants who have participated in more than two A tournaments that contribute score to national or provincial ranking such as BC Closed, BC Open, Jack Underhill, VRC Summer Open, VLT Open, Junior A, etc. and applicants who have participated in national college tournaments, MD or XD (reaching semi-finals) in Badmintology 29-All-Open, Clear One Open, or Richmond Pro Open, will not be accepted.
