Hey folks! Welcome to CSA, Chinese Students' Association of UBC! My name is Timmy and I am the President for the year of 2009-2010. As the leader of this student organization, my job is to guide our directors and executives to achieve various goals throughout their university life through event hosting and socializing with their peers. Our club consists of eight departments, each hold their responsibilities with the same objective to bring Chinese students together as well as to promote the Asian community in Vancouver. We reach our targets by carrying out activities such as volunteering services and organizing charity events, meanwhile developing each individual into capable leaders. Also I will ensure the quality of the club's image by enhancing our operation and provide consistent benefits and entertainment for our membership base.
My journey from an executive to the club president was unforgettable. Born in CSA under the cultural department, my socializing skills were utilized through participating in many events, making many new friends along the way. My work habit carried me forward as I became the department director and the External Vice President in the following two years. Now, with all the experiences, I am extremely confident in my ability to lead CSA as the "big man" of the club. I sincerely hope CSA will leave you a memorable time in the best university in BC!
